Help Us Spread the Word

Myth: There are more infants waiting to be adopted than there are couples hoping to adopt.
Fact: The opposite is actually true. There are actually many more couples hoping to adopt than there are infants to be adopted.

“So how can we help?” you may ask. One of the best things that you can do to help us is to spread the word about our hope to adopt. We’ve learned that with LDS Family Services, about 70% of adoptions come by word-of-mouth. That’s why we would love to have your help! You may not know anyone that is going through an unplanned pregnancy, but the people you know might. You never know who might know someone that is considering adoption.

What can you do to help?

  • Add our button to your blog/website
    We’ve had many referrals to our website through people who have posted our button to their blog/website.

    To add this to your blog:

    1. In Blogger Layout, choose “Add a Gadget”, then “HTML/JavaScript”
    2. Pick a title, and paste the following code into the content:

    To add this to your website:

    1. Copy the above code to your websites HTML where you want it to appear.
  • Write a post on your blog about us
    We’ve had some family and friends write a blog post about us, and the things they like about us. This is a great word-of-mouth tool, and we certainly wouldn’t complain if you decided to do it hint hint :) . Please refer readers to this website to learn more about us.
  • Update your facebook status with a message about us adopting
    Updating your facebook status can spread the message to many people. Please refer readers to this website to learn more about us.
  • If you use twitter, you could “tweet” about our hope to adopt
    Twitter can also be a great resource to spread the word to many people if you have followers. Please refer readers to this website to learn more about us.
  • Give away our adoption pass-along cards

    You can give them to family, friends, neighbors, and anyone that else you come across. You can also post them on community billboards, or drop them in those jars for business card drawings. If you are able to help us in this area, please e-mail us and we’ll mail some cards to you.
  • Pray for us
    We know that somewhere there is a baby that is meant to be placed with us. Prayer is a powerful tool and can accomplish miracles. Please remember us in your prayers.
  • Other ideas to spead the word
    Feel free to use some creativity and share with us your other ideas. The more people we can spread the word to, the better!
