St. George

Posted in Uncategorized | 2 Comments »

Last weekend was my fall break, so we took a short trip to St. George with my family. We went to see a musical called “Big River” at the Tuacahn Theater. It was a fabulous performance! Steve even liked it and he’s not a huge fan of musicals.

It was a really short trip, but we made time for a few other fun things. We went to some red rocks that overlook St. George. It was fun to climb up the rocks and see the great view.

On our way back home, we stopped at Cedar Brakes. It has some impressive views. My brother had a great time throwing snowballs down the canyon…so he provided us with a lot of entertainment.

It was a really fun trip! It’s always fun to get away and we had a great time with my family!

Jazz Game

Last week Steve and I got the chance to go to a Jazz game. My sister and her husband were able to get tickets for us! Steve loves the Jazz, so he was REALLY excited!! I also like going to the Jazz games…it’s much better than watching them on TV!! We had a great time, even though the Jazz lost! Thanks Paul and Katie!

Family Traditions!

I just love family traditions, and fall is the best time of year for some of my family traditions. We always go on a fall picnic to see the leaves and take pictures. It’s fun to see our progression over the years. We went up to Snowbasin this year and the leaves were really pretty. We got some great pictures!

I also look forward to Conference weekend. It is so amazing to hear all the leaders of the church speak. There are always so many things that really lift me up and strengthen me. It’s also fun to get together with my family. We have a lot of conference traditions. On Saturday, the girls always get together for a Girl’s Night Out, while the guys are at Priesthood. This year we went out to eat at Olive Garden!! Yum!!! Then, we always have a big breakfast on Sunday…bacon, eggs, and the family favorite “coffee cake.” Don’t worry–we don’t serve it with coffee (especially not before Conference!) Then we watch Conference together. Another good part of conference is the treats. We always have plenty of treats available. When we were growing up, my mom used to pick a time and if we were listening we earned a treat–now she just passes the bowl around. And we finish it off with a great Sunday dinner! So I guess mostly we just like to eat during Conference weekend–but hey what’s better than food!!!
