Just a few updates!
Posted on Sunday, March 9th, 2008 at 4:55 pmI haven’t posted in awhile mostly because I haven’t really had anything to write about! My vacation ended the last week of February, so I have been back in school since then! It was nice to have such a long break, but it really made it hard to go back. It’s way too nice to stay at home and do whatever you want all day! So if anyone figures out how to stay at home, not work, and get a paycheck, let me know!! Although I think that I probably would get bored after awhile.
My job at my current elementary school was up in the air for awhile. They just built a new elementary school which meant that we would be losing 24% of our students, and quite a few teachers too. I was on the list to have to go to another school, so I interviewed at the new school and I was offered the position. However, I lucked out, because one of the other fourth grade teachers decided to leave and go to the new school, so I was able to stay! I was excited, because I’ve already had to change schools, and I was ready to settle down and stay at the same school for awhile.
The last update is that Steve has become a video gamer!! When we were dating he always told me he didn’t like to play video games very much, but since we’ve got the Wii, he has definitely changed his mind! We just got Guitar Hero a couple of weeks ago, and already he’s become a pro! (I will post pictures of that later, because it’s fun to see him going crazy with the guitar–he has some great dance moves). I think it is also his way of escaping his homework! But really, who would want to do homework when you could play the Wii?????
Anyway…that’s my updates! Congrats if you made it through my long (not so interesting) updates!
Hurrah for posts! I check your blog faithfully to see what you two are up to! That is so funny about Steve and the video game obsession. I think it’s a Wii thing. Andrew was exactly the same way… until we got our Wii and now he’s a hardcore gamer. So good to hear from you guys, can’t wait to get together in a couple of weeks!
YAY for gamers! I still can’t say that I am hard core, even with Rock Band, but I’m afraid even Alex is pretty close to hard core. Not a good sign at only 4 years old.
Hey! Could you send me the digital scrapbooking info you use?? I really want to start! Oh, and you guys need to try dance dance revolution….Dave and I LOVE it!
