Happy Anniversary!!
Posted on Monday, December 24th, 2007 at 11:04 amOn Decemeber 17, we had our second anniversary. It’s hard to believe we’ve already been married for two years! It has been a wonderful two years!!
Steve did a great job finding something “sweet” for our anniversary. That is always my request and I think it stresses him out, even though I never expect anything big! For our anniversary, Steve left a note in my car in the morning. It told me I should expect to see something from the five senses throughout the day that would show his love for me. I was rushing to school, so I didn’t have much time to guess what the surprises would be, but later in the day my principal came into the faculty room and told me that I had flowers. It’s sad to say, but for a moment I actually forgot it was our anniversary and thought that for some reason the school had given me flowers. So I actually thanked my principal, thinking, why would they get me flowers, and she said, the flowers aren’t from us! Then I realized they must be for our anniversary. So Steve had sent me a very beautiful bouquet of roses and gardenias (to represent the sense of smell).
Later in the day as Steve and I left to go out for dinner, he had the Josh Groben, Noel CD playing in the car. I had wanted this CD for a long time, and so that represented the sense of hearing. Then after dinner, Steve brought out my favorite chocolates Ferrer Rocher, that was for the sense of taste. Next we went to Temple Square to look at the lights, and that was for the sense of sight.
For the last sense, touch, he gave me a back massage. (For those of you who were at Michelle’s FHE lesson on giving massages, it was not painful like he accidentally did there).
So we had a great anniversary! Steve is the best husband ever!!
Wow! Steve is so sweet! I’m very impressed, he ought to give Michael some tips next year! Oh, by the way, your flowers are stargazer lilies not gardenias (sorry, the designer in me just can’t help but make the correction!)
That is the cutest thing I have ever heard in my life!!! You two are the the most amazing couple! I am so impressed with Steve’s creativity… but we always knew he was a sweetie! Love you guys!
