Steve & Amy – Hoping to Adopt

For those of you who have been waiting on the edge of your seat to find out what is happening with our pool…here is the update! Our pool is finally drained. This was no small task. I think it took over 48 hours total to get it drained. It turned out that it was a huge task to drain it. When our pool was getting close to being empty, the water completely stopped draining. It still had too much water in it to be able to pull it over, or dump it out. Our kind neighbor, (who I am sure got a good laugh watching us trying various tactics to drain our pool) offered to let us use his wet vac! This was great, but unfortunately it only holds 6 gallons, so we had to dump the holding tank frequently. After doing that for awhile, we were finally able to dump the rest of the water out. So finally tonight our is pretty clean and EMPTY!!! Here comes the sad news: after all this work, we have decided that it probably will not work to put it back up this season. The whole pool is REALLY heavy, and I’m not much of a help! I’ll have to start lifting weights, so I can help him pull the pool around next summer! Or we’ll have to bribe someone to come and help Steve with it. (This is the bribe I’m offering–you get to dunk Steve in our pool!!) So now it is just sitting there while we figure out something to do with it for the rest of the summer!!
