Random Summer Stuff

I realized that I haven’t posted for awhile. I have been busy getting ready and going back to school. It is crazy that we are back to school already. My track is one where you go for three weeks and then you get three weeks off, so I am already counting down the days until my next break! Then I can relax and actually enjoy summer.

As many of your know, we have one of those above ground pools in our backyard. This pool came with our house (we definitely would not have purchased this on our own). We have been working all summer to try and get it ready to go. We have been to the pool store many times to try and find the right chemicals, because our pool has had a bit of an algae problem (okay maybe more than a little bit). Well finally we realized that the pool just needed to be drained and then cleaned. Unfortunately we didn’t have the part to drain it. Finally we got the part and we are now in the process of draining our pool. (Note: I have discovered it is a VERY slow process–I think it will take at least 7 hours, if not more) However, I am very excited and hopeful that we will FINALLY be able to use our pool! Of course we will be inviting all of you–our lovely friends and family over for a great pool party. Hopefully I will be posting in a few days that our pool is now open for the season (Pretty sad when the summer season is already more than halfway over!! :) But better late than never)! Who knows maybe Steve and I could get a little bit of a tan–okay..just kidding about that!!

I am so happy! Finally a pool party at Steve’s. I am not sure if I am more happy about the invite to a pool party or because Amy finally updated the blog… Just kidding. How about a picture of the leftover sludge?

I don’t know if we want to include a picture of the leftover sludge…then no one will want to come swim!! :)
