Summer Vacation!

Posted on Saturday, July 7th, 2007 at 1:04 pm

Now that school is out for me, Steve and I have had time to go on our summer vacation. We went camping at Soapstone, which is really close to Mirror Lake up in the Uintahs. We had a great time!

We did have a funny experience. As we paid to enter the campground area, Steve decided to joke with the forest ranger in the booth by saying, “So have there been any bear sightings lately?” He was sorry that he had asked when she replied that the camp area just below ours had seen some bears that day! However, we followed the proper bear safety procedures and we had no bear trouble!!

It was a fun vacation! We were able to go hiking, wade in the stream by our campground, play lots of games, go hiking, and experiment with campfire cooking. We’re already looking forward to our next camping trip!

Hey Steve and Amy, you are getting behind everyone else’s blog. How about some new pics? Since we never see you guys anymore could you at least put pictures up of you playing games with other people?
