We have recently completed our biggest home improvement project so far, we removed two giant pine trees from our yard. We decided we were tired of having a forest in our front yard, and I was especially tired of raking up pine needles! (So if you are considering planting a tree in your yard, I would suggest something other than a pine tree!) My grandpa came over and decided he thought we could do it ourselves. So my grandpa, my dad, and Steve cut the huge trees down. My mom and I had the job of picking up all the branches. My grandma even got into this project by raking up all the pine needles. It was quite the family project! We ended up taking four truckloads of branches to the dump. Needless to say, that is a lot of branches! We are excited to be rid of those pine trees. The only bad part is all the pine needles killed many sections of our lawn, so now we are in the process of trying to get the grass to come back. Despite the hard work that comes with a house, we are enjoying having our own place.
